General terms and conditions of sale




Article 1 – Duration of the stay

The client who signs this contract in effect for a fixed period may not under any circumstances take advantage of any right to remain in the premises.
Article 2 – Execution of the contract Any reservation will only become effective after the receipt of a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay. The payment of this deposit implies acceptance of the present general terms and conditions of sale and the prices.The rental between the parties involved in the present contract may not under any circumstances benefit, even partially, third parties, natural or legal persons, except with the written agreement of the owner.Any infringement of this last paragraph could lead to the immediate cancellation of the rental at the expense of the tenant, the profit of the rental remaining definitively reserved to the owner.
Article 3 – Modification The reservation can be modified without charge until the date of stay. After this date, please consult the clause "cancellation by the client". In case of modification, please contact us and we will find a solution.
Article 4 – No withdrawal For bookings made by post, telephone or internet, the hirer does not benefit from the withdrawal period, in accordance with article L121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code relating in particular to the provision of accommodation services supplied on a specific date or at a specific time.
Article 5 – Cancellation by the client In the event of cancellation more than one week before the date of arrival, we will return the deposit received.In case of cancellation less than one week before the arrival date, the amount of 30% of the stay will be charged.If the client does not show up before 8 p.m. on the day of arrival, the present contract becomes null and void. The owner will then be able to dispose of his guest rooms. The deposit remains with the owner who will charge the payment of the balance of the price of the stay.In case of early departure, the totality of the stay will be due and invoiced.In the event of force majeure on the part of the owners leading to a cancellation of the stay, the total amount paid will be refunded.
Article 6 – Cancellation by the owner If before the beginning of the stay, the owners cancel the stay, for reasons beyond their control, they must inform the client as soon as possible by telephone or e-mail. The client will be reimbursed immediately for the amount paid.
Article 7 – Arrival and departure For your arrival at Aux Prés du Berry, we will welcome you between 4pm and 8pm. In case of late or postponed arrival, please inform us as soon as possible and before 4pm.The client must arrive on the agreed day and at the times mentioned on this contract. In case of late or delayed arrival, the client must inform the owner.On the day of your departure, we require that you vacate the room before 11am.
Article 8 – Payments Means of payment accepted: Credit cards and cash. Cheques are not accepted.A deposit of 30% of the total value of the stay will validate the reservation and must be paid by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).For clients who have booked by telephone or email, the balance of the stay must be paid on site, in cash or by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).The balance of the stay and services must be paid at check-out in cash or by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).
Article 9 – Taxes The tourist tax is a local tax that the client must pay to the owner. The tax is then transferred to the public treasury. The rate for the year 2021 is 0.40% of the room rate per night and per person aged 18 and over. This tax is to be paid at the time of your payment.
Article 10 – Use of the premises We inform our guests that the rooms and reception areas are non-smoking (including e-cigarettes); we invite you to strictly respect this rule for the sake of other visitors. For our smoking guests, the park is at their disposal.The guest must respect the peaceful nature of the premises. They must respect the other guests in the house, in accordance with the purpose of the premises. The guest undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare, and assume financially, any possible damage for which he/she could be responsible.The respect of a certain way of life is required from all the guests to guarantee the peacefulness of the place and the comfort of its guests. In addition, it is required, as far as possible, to keep away from open doors and windows in order not to disturb the occupants.The kitchen is not available for cooking.The owners cannot be held responsible for any theft of guests' personal belongings.The access to the SPA is reserved to the guests of the guest house. Unaccompanied minors are not allowed in the SPA. Parents must supervise their children who remain under their own responsibility. For reasons of hygiene, we require our guests to take a shower in their room where bathrobes are provided.In order to preserve the peace and quiet of all guests, any person wishing to visit a guest on the property may only do so with the permission of the owners and with the obligation to present themselves at the entrance.
Article 11 - Animals We accept certain animals to be approved at the time of booking with an additional charge per animal of 10 euros. If this clause is not respected, the owner can deny the accommodation: no refund will be made. At the time of booking, the client must indicate the number of pets accompanying him/her.Where applicable, the description sheet specifies any additional charges to be expected (pet fee, additional security deposit, additional cleaning fee, etc.). Specific conditions of stay for pets may be specified by the owner in an internal regulation posted in the accommodation.Pets are under the responsibility of their owners and must not in any way disturb the stay of other guests.For the respect of the animal it is forbidden to let your dog locked up in a vehicle.During meals, your pet must not beg for food in order not to disturb other guests and for hygiene reasons.Animals must not sleep or rest on sofas, armchairs and beds, for reasons of hygiene.
Article 12 – Capacity The contract is drawn up for a specific number of persons. If the number of guests exceeds the number mentioned on the reservation, the owner is entitled to reject additional guests. This rejection can in no way be considered as a modification or a breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner, and the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation will be kept by the owner.
Article 13 – Children Children are under the full responsibility of their parents and must respect the house rules.
Article 14 – Insurance The client is responsible for all damage caused by him/her. The client certifies that he/she is covered by a civil liability insurance covering his/her own responsibility and that of the persons accompanying him/her.
Article 15 – Disputes It is recommended to contact the Tourism Mediator who will intervene to encourage the amicable settlement of disputes. The Court of Châteauroux has sole jurisdiction for any disputes arising from the execution or interruption of this contract.Article 16 – PhotographsDespite our efforts to provide you with as accurate an overview as possible of our house and its grounds, the photos, illustrations and graphic representations may vary significantly between the time of booking and the day of use of the service, in particular according to the seasons for the grounds.
Article 17 – Services For the Bed and Breakfast, breakfast is included in the price, it is served in the dining room or on the terraces (on request) from 8.30am to 10am. Some services may be subject to an extra charge and to possible modifications without prior notice, and our guest house is not responsible for them.
Article 18 – Additional services The price of the services is indicated on our website and displayed in all rooms and the gîte.The additional services are:• A breakfast basket can be provided for the gîte requesting it the day before.• Access to the SPA• Table D'Hôtes: meal to be booked at the time of room reservation and at the latest 2 days before the meal: Table d'Hôtes includes one drink and unlimited water: any additional drinks will have to be paid for at extra cost. The meal is served between 7.30 pm and 8.00 pm: We cannot provide a meal for guests arriving after 8.00 pm. • Additional drinks
Article 19 – COVID In accordance with the law, a valid PASS Sanitaire will be required in order to use the services.
Article 20 – Data Processing and Individual Liberties In accordance with the law of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and liberties, you have the right to access and rectify data concerning you. The company "Aux prés du Berry", undertakes not to transmit the information you have communicated to it to other companies or organisations.
The present terms and conditions of sale can be modified at any time without notice. The acceptance and the respect of these terms and general conditions of sale are considered as acquired from the payment of the deposit.

The general conditions of sale exist to ensure the well-being of our guests and to be as transparent as possible.


The general conditions of sale will be sent to you in the confirmation email of your reservation.




Article 1 – Duration of the stay

Article 2 – Execution of the contract



Any reservation will only become effective after the receipt of a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay if 2 nights and/or 3 room booked. The payment of this deposit implies acceptance of the present general terms and conditions of sale and the prices.
In the case of deposit exemption, less than 3 nights or 3 rooms reserved or following the owner's decision, the reservation becomes effective following the reservation confirmation received by email. This confirmation implies acceptance of these general conditions of sale and prices.
The rental between the parties involved in the present contract may not under any circumstances benefit, even partially, third parties, natural or legal persons, except with the written agreement of the owner.Any infringement of this last paragraph could lead to the immediate cancellation of the rental at the expense of the tenant, the profit of the rental remaining definitively reserved to the owner.

In case of late or delayed arrival, the client must inform the owner.On the day of your departure, we require that you vacate the room before 10h30am.

Article 8 – Payments



Means of payment accepted: Credit cards and cash.A deposit of 30% of the total value of the stay will validate the reservation and must be paid by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).For clients who have booked by telephone or email, the balance of the stay must be paid on site, in cash or by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).The balance of the stay and services must be paid during your stay in cash or by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Amex).

Article 9 – Taxes



The tourist tax is a local tax that the client must pay to the owner. The tax is then transferred to the public treasury.

We inform our customers that it is not allowed to eat in the rooms.

The parking lot of the property is not unlimited and can accommodate one vehicle without a trailer per room, in the event that you have several vehicles, please contact us before confirming your reservation. The guest must respect the peaceful nature of the premises. They must respect the other guests in the house, in accordance with the purpose of the premises. The guest undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare, and assume financially, any possible damage for which he/she could be responsible.The respect of a certain way of life is required from all the guests to guarantee the peacefulness of the place and the comfort of its guests. Access to the kitchen is forbidden to guests unless authorized by the owner. The owners cannot be held responsible for any theft of guests' personal belongings.

Because we have a large park, we decline all responsibility in the event of insect bites or allergy to pollen. The access to the SPA is reserved to the guests of the guest house and need to be reserved before. Unaccompanied minors are not allowed in the SPA. Parents must supervise their children who remain under their own responsibility. For reasons of hygiene, we require our guests to take a shower in their room where bathrobes are provided.In order to preserve the peace and quiet of all guests, any person wishing to visit a guest on the property may only do so with the permission of the owners and with the obligation to present themselves at the entrance.

The Terrace called “Paillotte Berrichonne” is reserved from 7:00 p.m. for the aperitif then at the table d’hôtes and from 8:00 a.m. for breakfast.

Because of the increasing number of incidents and inconveniences caused by pets, they are no longer accepted.

Article 12 – Capacity
